Financial Control

Reliable financial information on a fixed monthly cadence.

We build the reporting, forecast, cash view and control framework around the operating business, then keep it running to an agreed timetable. Where the mandate calls for executive responsibility, Quell can act as a fractional or interim CFO.

Fund and manager research built for investment decisions.

Quell builds and maintains the research process behind manager and fund selection. We screen the market, examine the people, process, portfolio, performance, terms and risks behind each strategy, assess its place in the wider portfolio, and turn the work into clear investment-committee materials. After an allocation is made, we continue to test whether the original case still holds.

Most engagements begin with a defined situation: an acquisition, a market entry, a reporting gap, a restructuring, or an established operation that needs a stronger owner-level view. The first conversation defines the outcome that matters to the owner.

Build

We understand the company and the mandate, connect the data, assess existing providers and establish the reporting, forecast, cash view, controls and governance map. A typical Build phase is structured around the first ninety days.

Run

The system operates to a fixed cadence and date. We coordinate inputs, review outputs, track variances and changes, and surface exceptions. The owner receives the same decision-useful view every cycle.

Oversee

Quell holds a standing owner-side role. We monitor management and providers, prepare decisions and represent the principal locally. Where the mandate requires it, we take board or executive responsibility for the company.

Owner oversight in Poland

For a foreign entrepreneur with revenue-generating operations in Poland, Quell strengthened the governance structure, took a senior coordinating role and built owner reporting across performance, cash deployment and operating priorities. The relationship continues.

Financial control at scale

Michał served as Board Advisor for Finance and acting interim CFO to a technology services business with approximately PLN 200 million in annual revenue. The role covered supervisory reporting, forecasting and performance analysis for shareholders and boards.

Investment intelligence in practice

Quell provides the manager research, fund analysis and investment-committee materials that support Smart Global Alpha, a live multi-manager strategy implemented through Logistable Limited. The work covers defining and screening the fund universe, assessing managers and portfolio fit, documenting the case for each allocation, and monitoring whether that case continues to hold. Quell's contribution helped take the strategy from concept to live implementation and now supports its continuing development.
